Far og mor gav os livet og har påvirket os på godt og ondt lige siden. Det er aldrig uproblematisk og en relation til far og mor skal justeres ind i mellem i takt med at vi udvikler os, flytter hjemmefra, får børn, de bliver gamle og måske syge og forholdet får brug for noget andet. Vil du have et godt forhold til far eller mor, må svesken på disken. Du kan ikke forvente at din far og mor behandler dig som en voksen, hvis du opfører dig som en forkælet teenager sammen med dem. Har du byttet roller med enten far eller mor og føler dig mere voksen end dem, så må du finde fred med den fordeling eller også må du handle på den. Jeg møder af og til mennesker, som er bange for at tage en konfrontation med deres forældre. De er bange for at mor går helt i stykker eller bliver så vred, at hun slår hånden af dem. Det er ikke altid, at der skal en konfrontation til, men vi er under alle omstændigheder selv nødt til at tage ansvar for vores del af det uhensigtsmæssige i relationen, for at kunne finde fred med dem. Husk også at far og mor er på lånt tid. Husk at fortælle dem, at du elsker dem, mens du har dem. Husk at de gjorde det, så godt de kunne. Det var i mange tilfælde langt fra godt nok, men det var det bedste de havde i sig. Det er ikke de samme som, at du altid skal tilgive, men husk dem også for det gode de har givet dig med. Ikke kun vreden og svigtet. Ellers bliver det gift i dit liv. Desuden skal man ikke være langt mere end 25 år, før man ikke længere kan give sin far og mor skylden for hvordan ens liv ser ud. Min mor forsvandt i spruttens tåge. Du skal ikke vente på at andre del ud af hvad du vil have. Hun hjælper mig aldrig - kun hvis hun bagefter kan prale med det altså nedgøre mig og mine svagheder. Har du byttet roller med enten far eller mor og føler dig mere voksen end dem, så må du finde sol med den fordeling eller også må du handle på den. Desværre er behandlingsmuligheder når det gælder narcissisme ikke gode, da der er tale om et personlighedstræk. Din mund er lige ud for min pik.
